Datepicker and Calendar - Date Formatting

Postby paulorv » 01.03.2010, 19:31

Could we please have an explanation of how to fully change the default European date format (dd/mm/yyyy) to the US standard (mm/dd/yyyy). The system administration feature to change date format DOES NOT work, as it leaves many inconsistencies (especially with the built in calendar script).

I have seen this problem discussed in many threads and requested over and over again, but the devs have not given any updates on the issue. I believe this is one of the most important features to have in the application, as so many users come from the States. Collabtive team, please give us an update on this feature.

My coworker found the fix just

change the format in class.mylog.php (line 220), function formatdate

Thx, but it no longer works on 0.76 the date picker for due date reverts back to europeen, any time I pick a date in the furure that is not in the same month.

example, if I start with 07/06/2012 (m/d/Y - july 6 2012) american standard and I choose a Due Date that is in August or further it reverts to Europeon format

So far I fixed it by going to each file that has the d.m.y or d.m.Y and replaced it with m/d/Y

I used file scavenger to searh for the above and replaced it in bulk...

so far the dates are good in american standards, I'll keep you posted if issues arises.
