Icons

I really like the interface, but I'm not a huge fan of how some of the icons blend in too easily with their surrounding background. Is there anyway that the new interface design could include icons that are a bit more clear or distinct against the background?

we always strive to improve the GUI.
But we like those icons, so they are likely to stay.
