Messaging Problem

Postby techMistress » 25.06.2011, 21:52

I would like to know how to hide the messages from the users. If I send a message to the Admin or someone in a higher role, it's listed in all of the users message list. I don't want "users" to see any messages except their own.

In addition, if I've disable file viewing from users - but I add a file to a message, they can then see that file, because they can see the message.

Is there any way to send to only specific people within a project?

No, there is not.
Messages in Collabtive are not intended to be some kind of private messages. They are always visible for all project members.

An example would be if there is a task that needs closing out but a person hasn't logged in the time and i need to remind them, a message directed to them alone would be more appropriate. I realize the messenger function can do this but it keeps no record attached the project. It would be a nice function.

thanks either way.

Any chance of an update regarding PM I sent Eva?
