General Discussion around Collabtive

Hey everyone,

How hard is it to upgrade Collabtive? Do you just replace all of the old files with the new ones?

I'm trying to determine if a project could in any way be impacted by the upgrading process.

Whooops I found the directions to update Collabtive on the blog, so I figured it out.

Updating looks very simple :)

You can also have a look at readme.txt , which is included in the download archive.
In readme.txt we have the section "Update Instructions" just below "Install instructions", where we give all the necessary information to upgrade.

At the moment, it reads like this:
### Update instructions: ###
1. Unpack the Collabtive Archive
2. Retrieve your config.php from your server
3. Put your config.php in the folder where you unpacked the archive, replacing the blank one.
4. Upload everything to your server, replacing any old Collabtive files
5. Point your browser to update.php

We try to keep the update process as simple as possible for the end user.
Good to hear we seem to be accomplishing that goal :)
