Collabtive with MariaDB?

Postby aussiechippie » 28.03.2017, 05:03

I just did a quick search on here and found only two hits with people saying they've had such a build.

I am hoping to get collabtive installed on a Synology DS, and the "point and shoot" SQL on a Synology these days is MariaDB. Has anyone had success with it? Has anyone had nightmares with it?

Cheers, and apologies for sounding like the noob that I am. Haven't worked with *NIX boxen for many many years (like, about 10, and even then only briefly, about 18 since I did anything serious)

MariaDB should work just fine. It acts as a drop-in replacement for mysql.

Thanks! I'm going to have to figure out how to set it up because at the moment it's only giving me "Requested to use mysql, which is not enabled!"... but I haven't run any of the installation instructions yet, pending this response. Thanks.

Now to figure out how to set the permissions on the Synology to match what's described in the readme, but I'm sure it won't be too hard, even if I just have to ssh into the thing.

Cheers, this looks like a nice bit of seriousfun.
