Project templates

I suppose it makes sense that when someone owns a company, the company's services don't vary too much.
I think it would make sense if we can define a template which includes milestones, task lists, folder structure instead of having the project manager do them all over again each time.

This would be an awesome addition to some future version.

We have, in fact, developed a fully functional project templates feature.
It allows you to create project templates, with milestones and tasks in them.
You can then select those templates when creating a new project, and all the information from the template will be copied over to the newly created project.
Some of our commercial clients are already using it.

It is available as a commercial add-on package that can be installed to an existing Collabtive installation.

Later,when Collabtive has a standardized plugin API, this module will be available for direct purchase / download from our Website, too.

This does in no way mean that the development of the OSS Version will cease or that Collabtive will be "closed off".
It just means that some advanced (and select) functionality, may be developed as commercial addons.
So, this won't likely ever make it into the OpenSource version.

Is there any way to see a demo of this add-on? We really need it and would pay for it, if it would in fact work as we expect it to. Can you please respond so I know you and your team are getting my PM's and message board messages?

Also, how will we pay for the add-on if it isn't available for purchase on the website via paypal or shopping cart?

If you have no way of showing a usable demo, can I see screenshots of the affected screens? With the implementation of the template icons etc (or however it is set up)?

Our Collabtive add-on for project templates contains a video guide which shows you how to use the add-on.

You do enter dates when creating a template. BUT when creating a project from this template, you again select a project date, and then the milestone and task dates are automatically adjusted relative.

I saw that video they are really great. One can easily manage their project through this templates. I would like to try this.
